Hotel Gli Dei (meaning "The Gods") opened in June 2004 in Pozzuoli, although modern in architectural 
design and only two-stories high, it blends in well with the open landscape. The interior of the hotel is also 
of modern design, which is comfortable, relaxing and spacious. Rooms from the front of the hotel boast
excellent views across the Gulf of Pozzuoli and rooms at the back of the hotel give equally splendid views 
across the crater of Astroni with Mount Vesuvio in the distance.  
The hotel has excellent facilities, fully air-conditioned, bar, restaurant, swimming pool, roof garden terrace 
(under construction) and lounge, as well as a pleasant garden area at the front of the hotel, which has bench 
seating under shaded palms and here you can sit and take in the magnificent views of the Gulf. The bar has
comfortable wicker seating where you can relax and have a drink or coffee, the restaurant is cool and 
spacious overlooking the swimming pool and of an evening coloured lights light up the fountain in the pool. 
Positioned around the pool are sun-beds, tables and chairs with umbrellas. The restaurant is open for buffet 
breakfast (which is included in the price), lunch and dinner. The hotel is situated up on the mountain side, hence 
the spectacular views, therefore they have a car service that will take you up and down to the base of the hotel 
as often as you wish (journey time: 2 minutes in the car). From the base of the hotel you have the choice to take 
the bus or you can walk into the town of Pozzuoli (20 minute walk), passing the Metroline that goes direct into 
Naples where you can pick up the Circumvesuviana line that takes you to Herculaneum, Pompeii and last stop 
Sorrento. Free car service up and down to the base of the hotel, swimming pool, sun terrace, lifts, laundry
service, currency exchange, free outdoor car parking and No smoking is permitted in the rooms, but all rooms 
have balconies where you can smoke outside. They do hold functions at the hotel, but this does not interfere 
with hotel guests, on occasions at the weekend the swimming pool can be off limits. 
Obviously you do not have to dine at the hotel, at the base of the hotel there are a few restaurants and Pizzerias
or you can walk down into the town where there are many little bars and restaurants giving you a very good
variety of different menus and at very economical prices. 

The Rooms: 
The accommodation comprises of 29 double rooms,  they do not have twin rooms, therefore they use a Junior 
suite that has a settee, which converts to a second bed, for single rooms a double room is used with single 
use occupancy plus 7 Junior Suites, a total of 36 rooms. The double rooms are at the front of the hotel, with 
Junior suites at the back of the hotel. Rooms vary in decor but all are tastefully furnished and carpeted, 
with ensuite shower or bath         bathrooms. The Junior Suites are also used for family rooms, which comprise of a 
double bed, a large settee that converts to a double bed or two single beds situated side by side with separate
bedding. Plus all Junior Suites are fitted with a Jacuzzi bath in the bathroom. All rooms have; telephone, radio 
with cable broadcast, satellite TV, guest-link and House Movie, mini bar, (Junior Suites have bath with 
Jacuzzi), hairdryer, air conditioning, central heating and safety deposit box. 

The Location:  
In the vacinity of Volcano Solfatara, walkable distance to  Metro Line, Amphitheatre Flavio and main town
of Pozzuoli.  There is also a small bus that runs from the Port of Pozzuoli to the base of the hotel cost 1 Euro.

Our Opinion:  This is a beautiful hotel, perfect setting, with comfortable rooms tastefully furnished with pretty
little veranda style balconies, lovely swimming pool and gardens, excellent service, first class buffet breakfast 
(included), good location and stunning views. Rooms at the front of the hotel have sea view, rooms located at the
back of the hotel have equally stunning views across the Crater of Astroni with Mount Vesuvio in the distance, 
what ever room you have, you will have a beautiful view.  As mentioned the hotel is up high, hence the views, it 
is a steep walk up to the hotel, and therefore they offer our clients a car service to take you up and down to the
base of the hotel.  It is best to give them a time to be collected or telephone the hotel 30 minutes before you
want to be collected.
